The Trapezoid is a monitor riser, and desk organization system. Building on my experience from the Thunderbolt Display/iMac monitor riser comes Trapezoid. A more utilitarian system to help improve your posture while you work, and help organize your workspace. An open negative space allows for easy storage and access, along with a cable passthrough and management system for desktop cables. This was created as a response to a class assignment called 'Make it Better', which allowed us to recreate a better version of any other project ever we had ever done at school.
Created as a response to the assignment: create a product for IKEA that connects parents and children to engage with the world of birding.
Created as a response to an assignment: create a teether or rattle for a baby. (The aim of the project was to learn research skills, and utilize photoshop rendering techniques taught in class. I also created a physical rapid prototype)
Bent Laminate Table Centerpiece
A response to a class assignment to create an object using bent lamination techniques explored in class. I created a wave shape using laminated and coopered ash and walnut veneer surrounded by a walnut arch.
Dynamic Aluminum Sculpture
A response to a class assignment to create an object using aluminum - sculptural, mechanical or otherwise, using techniques taught in class. I created a simple mechanism which re-arranged the orientation of a rectangle with a satisfying, metallic 'snap'.
Modular Collapsable Walnut Lamp
A handmade walnut lamp. Collapses down to a more managable size for when transporting or shipping.
Modular, reconfigurable cardboard chair
Created as a response to an assignment: create a modular, reconfigurable chair using only cardboard. It must have at least six modules, and be used in at least three unique configurations.
iMac/Thunderbolt Display Riser w/Storage
Created for a woodworking class, as a response to the assignment: create or iterate a new or existing utilitatian product.
